The project consists of the restoration, recovery, and renovation of a 19th-century rural complex located in the hilly area not far from the historic center of Bassano del Grappa. The buildings of a settlement with various agricultural functions are partially demolished and partially volumetrically recomposed to be adapted solely to residential and storage spaces.
The character of the complex is defined by the coexistence of tradition and modernity in the same place. The project relates the recovery of traditional building techniques for laying mortars and external plasters, the restoration of river-style beams with newly executed iron artifacts or large industrial-style windows reminiscent of the demolished buildings used as warehouses.
